Keystone XL represents the interests of Big Oil and the 1%, NOT the electorate.

Fight FOR Americans, the ones whose private lands are being commandeered, the ones whose public lands stand in danger of destruction, the ones whose tax dollars should be spent on career creation not corporate subsidies, the ones who will suffer when these companies walk away leaving them with more air pollution, damaged watersheds, ruined wildlife habitats, fewer jobs and bigger gas bills at the end of the day…

This pipeline will NOT provide careers or any jobs beyond short-term cheap labor. This pipeline will NOT provide energy security as much, if not all, of the oil is destined for export, to add to Big Oil’s bottom line.

All this will only add to the reasons people around the globe have come to despise Americans.

And the sad thing is that they are despising we the people and not the multi-national corporatocracy which has wrapped itself in the cloak of our government which it is running by proxy through funding campaign after campaign and through lobbyists.

We need to stand firm AGAINST the XL bitumen crude coming in from Canada and stand with the inhabitants of the states where TransCanada in already evicting Americans citing eminent domain.

We need to DEMAND that green energy and good, long lasting jobs are made priority over short term construction ones that will devastate a fragile ecology and put the main central states’ watershed at risk.

Bitumen crude is far more caustic and more likely to leak and severely damage the land over which this pipeline is built.

Moreover, we need to rein in the Wall Street speculators who are using a false shortage (oil prices are rising on the world market due to Iran cutting exports to the UK and France - the US is now a net exporter) to drive up prices at the pump.
Stand firm AGAINST TransCanada and any and all further oil exploitation on American soil and in its littoral waters.
Stand firm AGAINST the corporations who stand to profit from this pipeline and their well-paid lobbyists and stand FOR the health and welfare of America and its people.

Fight FOR the removal of tax credits and inducements to these companies using our tax dollars or allowing them to move assets overseas to avoid paying what they owe the IRS.

Fight FOR the EPA, proper regulation of all these companies activities and ensure they pay for all past and future damages including but not limited to damages in the Gulf, from fracking and from recent oil spills across the country.
